Welcome to this page!
On this page you'll find a comparison of three web-sites. Here you can read about the main criterias that were important for the analysis of web usability.
First of all I checked each page with the validator of the World Wide Web Consortium (http://validator.w3.org/) and looked how many errors occurred. Afterwards I checked different screen resolutions to see if the sites work on each resolution and what are the advantages and disadvantages in the chosen resolution. I continued checking the pages in different browsers (Internet Explorer and Mozilla Firefox) and used the principles of 'Designing Web Usability' by Jakob Nielsen for creating user-friendly websites to compare the principles with the chosen web-sites. In the analysis sub-pages are no images of the sites, as they would have been too small to show the real errors, so it's better to look at the web-sites in a new window. To get a short overwiew, you can check out all sites in a small slide-show, which is based on the lightbox-script.
This site was generated according to the latest guidelines of the W3C (this site uses XHTML) and also includes features, like browsing with keys. Try 'ALT+2' (PC) to get to the first analysis (Mac: '^ + 2'). If you deactivate CSS-Styles, the site is still functional, as it should be barrier-free.
